5 Things that rocked my weekend, the second edition…
1. Sending Kristen sad face photos with Lisa and Maureen because we miss her.
2. Not quitting on a race where I felt like death warmed over! I ran the Boys and Girls Club’s Battle of Bunker Hill 8k yesterday and I was so sick. I actually had to stop twice to use the bathroom along to route. My stomach was not well. I wanted to quit so bad but I kept up with it and it was worth in it the end. You will see why…
3. As I was approaching the finish line I heard someone yell “Ali!!!!!!” I looked up and saw my friend Jill’s smiling face. Then I looked to her left and saw a very familiar face, one I hadn’t seen in person in over a year! My friend Ashley, who sailed around the world and then landed in Australia for a few months came home for a visit no one knew about. She decided to surprise me at the finish line of the race. When I saw her face, I screamed, cried and tackle hugged her. I almost didn’t cross the finish line, but she grabbed my hand and ran across with me! I certainly caused a scene. Everyone around the race was staring at us. I have never been so surprised and so happy to see someone in all my life. Here we are after the tears dried and a shower was taken. Welcome back to America, girlie!

6 year old Lilly, who has endured chemotherapy, was able to run the race and ran past my niece Arianna yelling “I’m beating you”! My niece yelled back…”thats right sweetie, you go girl!”
Lilly placing the medal around Amelia’s neck for winning the 50 yard dash. Adorable and emotionally moving!
Seeing Julia and her friend Gina run the race. Her Mom has cancer.
And drum roll…setting a stroller PR: 34.10…LOL…Running with a 5 year old in a stroller (and a wobbly wheel) is no joke:)
