Hi everyone! I am back. I want to thank you all for you sweet comments and e-mails. I am not able to discuss what has caused me to take my hiatus, but trust that it was a good reason and I did not just abandon you for some flimsy thing. Although I was not blogging, I am still very much a “blogger” and did photograph food, when I did eat.
It is strange how in life, things happen to us and around us that make our priorities change a very much for a few days. Blogging took a back seat because somethings are just more important, and to be honest I had no energy to do it! As I have said before, when I go through difficult times, I do not eat, unless reminded to. My body naturally just doesn’t feel hungry. Some people emotionally eat, I do the opposite.
One thing I pride myself on this blog being is an honest portrayal of my journey as I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle. These food pictures are honest in the sense that although I am recapping 5 days worth of food, it won’t looks like that is the case. I just simply didn’t eat much! Thanks for you understanding, respect of my privacy, and incredible support! I love my readers
What you guys will get is a WICKED WEDDING RECAP!!!! Although I was dealing with something personally, I could not let that get in the way of being part of my friend Wicked Bride’s special day! I know you guys have been waiting for this for so long…so without further ado, here is the first portion of the last 5 days!
Friday morning I made sure to moisturize…since I added that to my list of goals!

Breakfast was yogurt, berries and cereal (Kashi Honey Sunshine to be exact) with coffee.

Lunch was a whole wheat tortilla with turkey and hummus.

I ate it with grapes and some whole grain chocolate chip cookie bites.

As you can tell, I was not at work on Friday. Around 4pm, I headed to Erica’s Rehearsal Dinner at the Capital Grille. I started off with a glass of Shiraz.

I also had some cheese and crackers, they were right in front of me…

and a slice of bread…it was super chewy! I love chewy bread.

We had a special menu for the night.

I ordered the field green salad as my salad, the dressing was really garlicky- which I loved and it I also loved the different colored tomatoes. YUM YUM!!!

I had to explain the blog to those sitting around me, since it was noticeable that I was taking pictures of my food. I had to use the flash because it was dark and that made it super noticeable. Erica’s grandpa thought it was so interesting, so I took a picture of him with his Cesar Salad.

I had a great time sitting near Erica’s grandpa and his wife, they chatted Adam and I up the whole time it was fantastic!!! My meal was the tuna, I ordered it Medium Well.

I didn’t eat the rice but the soy, wasabi and ginger dipping sauces were fantastic!!!! Sides were mashed potatoes and butternut squash. I had a little of each.

The butternut squash was fantastic and reminded me of pumpkin pie
Dessert was this amazing groom’s cake:

The groom is big into camping (something we do not have in common) and loves carrot cake (something we do have in common).

The Happy Couple…and my slice of cake!

and some coffee!

During dessert gifts were past out! Here is Andy (Erica’s brother/groomsman) with his gift. What’s in there Andy?!

A Coach Wallet???? WOW!
My gift:

What was in there?

COACH CLUTCH!!!!
Gorgeous day of jewelry.

Everyone who attended got gifts from the groom’s parents too (like the amazing dinner wasn’t enough?!)

Adam loved the chocolate cigar.

We had a fantastic time at the Rehearsal Dinner, the groom’s parents did a great job as hosts; the food and company were fantastic!!! After the RD, Adam and I grabbed a few beers and then hit the hay.

In the morning, we got up and I made sure I had everything I needed for the day of the wedding. I took Oscar of for a walk, but made sure to dress him up for Halloween!!! Squirrel Dog!!!!!

When I came back from embarrassing my dog in front of the neighborhood walking Oscar, breakfast was waiting for me
Thanks Adam!

whole wheat bagel with egg whites, veggie sausage, and low fat cheddar with organic ketchup for dipping and coffee. After breakfast it was right to the salon for hair and makeup!

Here are us bridesmaids (Andy is technically the 4th bridesmaid) all done up!
Wicked bride in the process!

Wicked Bride Complete!

GORGEOUS!!
Erica provided us with lunch from Panera! I had a 1/2 of a turkey sandwich and some chips.

After we left the salon, we hussled back to the hotel and got ready in a jiffy!!! Here is Erica all ready to say I do!

Honestly, is she not the most beautiful thing you have ever seen?! The ceremony went off without a hitch (except the wind knocked over a vase). My next post will be of the reception, later on tonight. Catching you guys up on five days is time consuming so it will be in stages.
Stay tuned and thanks for your patience!

G;ad you’re back and glad everything is ok! I completely understand. I was terribly stressed last week. I think I lost 10 lbs! Crazy. It is weird how you react to being stressed or just different thing in your life. Again, glad you are back.
