Dry Skin…FIXED!

Morning! Another cold one in Boston, surprised?! Well, I slept a lot better last night than I have in the past few. I think my body is finally adjusting to get back to my routine. I tired to go to bed early, but then I saw on twitter that Jillian Michaels was going to be in Leno (yes, I follow her on twitter).  Unfortunately, she was on last so I had to sit through Kim Kardashian deep frying Oreos first  (rolls eyes). The interview was cute! Also, you never seen her dressed up and she looked so nice! Sigh, I love you Jillian!

This mornings breakfast was delicious! As you all know, I loooove Ezekiel products. My friend Stacy told that that their English Muffins were awesome a few months ago. I kind of forgot about it until I saw them staring back at me in the freezer section at the grocery store. So I bought them.

I toasted it up and topped it with smooth Barney Butter (!!!) and 1/2 of a banana. On the side I had a clementine and some coffee.

It was really good and super filling! Thanks for the recommendation, Stacey! Side note: Why is Barney Butter so creamy and delicious? WHY?

After eating and getting ready for work I was out the door! I had a great view while waiting for the bus! :)

That is my handsome fiancee hard at work! He was not that close to me, I have a great zoom on my camera! Oh and see my bus is coming, very happy moment. I was freezing waiting for that freakin’ thing!

Today’s outfit:

Sweet face, Al! Gray pants (Express), White T (Target), Plaid Blazer (I have had for like 4 years, I forget where I bought it…Filene’s Basment?), Black pointy  shoes (Anne Klein)- you guys sick of these shoes yet?

Here is is close up of the plaid on my blazer:

I always cuff the sleeves of this one because I really like the fun lining!

In Other News:

1. I am so excited about all of your responses to Self Love Month! YAY!

So, for today the Self Love Tip is: Wear Nice Underwear: What?! Seriously, I know it sounds weird, but it totally works! Wearing really cute underwear, undies, knickers, panties (whatever you call them), makes you feel more confident! You don’t believe me, go ahead…try it out! I promise it works!

2. I talk a lot on this blog about things that don’t have to do with the big 3 (Food, Fitess, Fashion)…I mean, come on, I just wrote a paragraph on underwear ;) . So, since this winter weather has hit I have talked a lot about dry skin as an issue I have and I think many others deal with this as well in the winter. Here one post where I talk about it…remember the vow to moisturize after every shower?!  Well, My good friends Ibelis, sent me an e-mail and gave me a gift that had completely changed my dry skin to a silky soft masterpiece! And I just have to share with you guys.

Oh look, beautiful and smart….winning combo (love you, girlie). Oh, that is her boyfriend Dan, who I commonly refer to as FAST DAN. He is the fastest runner I know!

Hey lady,

I’ve noticed that on your blog you talk about dry skin. I am all about moisturizing everyday. I never forget it….I lotion my whole body right after my nightly shower before bed.  But in the winter because its so damn cold I have to do a little extra.  Try this either every other day, once a week, every other week, once a month…whatever you want to do!
So i have a small bottle of johnson and johnsons baby oil (the gel kind) I take a shower and before i come out of the shower and before you dry yourself….rub your whole wet body (not your face) with the baby oil.  Then use a clean towel and towel yourself dry.  You will feel not oily but so soft!  The warmth from the water (cause your skin is still wet) will absorb the oil so well! And you dont have to use too much of the baby oil.  And you’ll smell very nice.
Again I use the baby oil gel because its less messy when you squirt it on your hands. The gel baby oil only comes in a small bottle but it will last. You can use the liquid baby oil but just be careful because if it spills in the tub it is very slippery and it can get messy.

I hope this helps you out.  Its what I do on those extra dry days.

So, when she came to visit me last week, she brought me the baby oil to try out!

It works awesome! My skin is 100% better! I no longer sit at my desk scratching my freaking legs anymore!WOO HOO!

3. A friend sent me this article today on facebook about more restaurants in Boston being veggie, vegan and raw friendly. I thought you guys might like it too! Super interesting/ will make you hungry! Thanks, McKenzie!

Well, I got a lot to do around here! See you in a but for lunch! Have a GREAT Hump Day!

EDITED***** I just want to add, I just received this image in an email from Adam that states: “I (curse word) love your Barney Butter!”

HAHAHAHA! Don’t eat it all, Adam! I think we may have the next big food blogger on our hands ;)
