Ok, well I am still trying to get this bad boy up to date! I have faith it will happen at some point! I have been slammed lately- it is insane!!!

Where were we? Oh yes…Sunday! Sunday I got up at 7:00 am and was pretty exhausted. I had a banana, which managed to escape my camera, some water and I was off! I headed to meet my friend Jill, her Dad and her brother for our race. It was a special race because it was Jill’s first race and it was also her Dad’s 60th birthday! WOOT!

Jill was pretty nervous and very excited! I remember being the same way at my first race. I knew she would do well. I told her I would run with her at her pace the whole time. It helps to have someone right next to you pacing you and encouraging you during your first race.

While picking up my number I ran into Julia! I haven’t seen her in over a month and that is a long time for us. I have just been so busy! I am hoping we can get together in the next week or so, if not when I get back from my honeymoon.

At 9am the horn blew and we were off. Jill needed to run to music, which was fine, I had my phone with me so I ran with my ipod on. I prefer running and talking when I have a running partner though. It was a hot morning, but we were troppers. I felt great the whole race. We ended up running it is 40:58! It was an excellent time for Jill, she was pleased! We stopped and walked three time because Jill got a few bad cramps. We also had to dodge a dead bird, rat and snake on the route…talk about gross! I am very proud of Jill for finishing! Great Job, girlie!

Jill’s dad ran the race is 36 minutes – not bad for 60! Her speedy brother Danny did it is 22 minutes!

After the race I grabbed an apple and half of a bagel.

We headed back to Jill’s house, on the way we stopped and got iced coffees. I got a grande skinny vanilla latte. Not having coffee started to give me a headache…I am addicted!

Jill and I washed out faces and then I headed into downtown to pick up Jacqui! Jacqui was in town looking into some programs at Tufts! I was excited to see her since it had been about 4 months since I had seen her last :) Once Jill and I picked up Jacqui we headed to Sound Bites to meet Fiteralla and Kendra. They are both Boston Bloggers that I have never met. It was very nice to meet both of them. Oh wait and did I mention Whit was there?! HAHAHAHA! YUP! :) I love that girl! I was sooooo excited to see her. She was in town visiting too :)

Sounds Bites is one of my favorite places for Brunch EVER!!! I started off with a little pumpkin coffee and a GIANT Smart Water.

For my meal I got the banana walnut whole wheat pancakes.

Jill and I also split some smaller sides of egg whites, veggie sausage and homefries.

I ate about 1 and 1/2 pancakes and most of the sides. Eyes = bigger than tummy. We sat and chatted for about two hours :) It was so fun! I was glad to meet Kendra and Jacqui  and soooooo happy to see Whit and Jacqui again :)

After Brunch, I hung out with Jill and little more before heading home to get ready to meet with the organist at my church. The meeting went well, I pretty much knew what I wanted. He played all different songs for me, the Bridal and Wedding March gave me the chills and got me super excited for the big day!!!!!

After the meeting I headed out to dinner with my future-in-laws for Fathers Day- a week later :) We went to the Prince Spaghetti House.  Not going to lie, the healthy options here are few and far between (ok- non existent!). When I go, I just have to eat what I like and not think about getting something healthy because there is no way around it. I started off with a salad from the salad bar.

Lettuce, bean salad and cucumbers. For my meal I ordered my favorite thing ever! Eggplant parm!

I ate about half, the potion was huge. Of course I saved room for my first soft serve of the summer. :)

Sunday night was spent looking at honeymoon stuff and spending time with Adam before the rat race of this week began…

Ok, now I just need to update you on Monday- Today…we are almost there. HOLD ON!
