Last Day!

Today is my every last day working before the wedding and let me tell you it is feeling like forever!!!!!!

Yesterday I got a ton of work done and it felt great to know I would manage to get everything done before heading out for my wedding and honeymoon.  Lunch was what I could scrape up at home. I am not going to the grocery store since we will barely be eating at home this week and will be gone for over two weeks after Sunday. I made a turkey sandwich with mustard and pickle on wheat and a salad with whatever veggies I could find :)

After work I headed to a meeting at our priest. The walk from my work to the church was about 1 and 1/2 miles and it was brutal! Luckily, I had some money left on my Starbucks card Oscar gave me for Mother’s Day and I got a venti passion tea lemonade.

Perfectly refreshing! I also had a kid’s clif chocolate chip bar as an afternoon snack.

The meeting with the priest went well. I had about 30 minutes until my makeup trial and Adam suggested that we stop for an ice cold beer and I had to agree it was a great day for a beer. I had a Shipyard Summer Ale (so good!).

At 6:00 pm I met my mom and we went to my makeup trail. I LOVED IT! The makeup artist was so sweet and adorable and  did exactly what I wanted! I cannot wait to see how the hair and makeup looks together on Saturday :)

After the trail I was “all dressed up and no where to go.” So mom and I headed to Yoki for a little sushi date. Can you believe my mom has never had sushi?! I was craving it (blame the heat) and so I was excited to take her. I started with a little miso soup.

I got a yellow tail roll and a spicy tuna roll.

and my mom and I split a vegetarian roll.

Everything was delicious! My mom liked it a lot, she struggled a little with the chopsticks which made dinner very entertaining ;) But all in all I think she will be having sushi again soon :)

The rest of my night was spend doing laundry so we can pack for our honeymoon tomorrow!!! (eeekkkk!!!).

This morning a combination of a super cuddly Oscar and it being my last day in the office made it hard as heck to get out of bed! But I managed, by the grace of God! Breakfast was a repeat of yesterday Total, with fat free milk, blueberries, strawberries and bananas.

Since we are limited in the grocery dept. the only portable lunch option I had was some Amy’s Pea Soup and while that is my favorite, pea soup in the middle of a heat wave is not all that appealing! So I stopped at subway and grabbed a turkey on wheat with mustard and all the veggies and some cheddar popchips!

I ate IT ALL! Yup every bite! Isn’t the heat supposed to decrease your appetite? Not mine, not today!

Today’s Outfit:

Darker than usual, huh? They must have turned the lights down?! Black sundress from the Gap and Kate Spade sandals.

Well, I got to get moving! Once I leave work I am on vacation until the 27th of July!!!!!!!! Tonight is filled with wedding meetings and errands!

See you all later on!

Good luck this weekend! So excited for you!! Looking forward to the recap!

Random question (because I love the dress) but do you wear a strapless bra with a spaghetti strap dress like that? And what brand?

Strapless bras always look so awkward on me ha-ha

so exciting it’s so close! it probably is starting to feel so real now! Relax and enjoy it!
My advice…give your phone to your mom or MOH. People will call you with stupid questions (like for directions!) and you don’t need to deal with that as a bride!

You know if you don’t have time to go shopping for groceries, you should try using TaskRabbit. You can pay someone a fairly low price for them to go buy your groceries for you. It has saved me a trip many times.
