Hey everyone! After work on Friday I met up with some friends and headed to The Atlantic Beer Garden for dinner before going to Harpoonfest. As soon as I sat down ordered an Octoberfest and went to take a picture of it. When I turned on my camera, it said “NO CARD”, I left my memory card plugged into my computer at work and we were already on the other side of the city!!!! So, I was unable to take pictures at all! Ugh, I was so frustrated! I had an Octoberfest and turkey tips for dinner. The turkey tips her marinated in jerk seasoning and it came with grilled asparagus and lemon risotto. I really enjoyed my meal.
After dinner, we went to Harpoonfest, I had about 4-5 beers there. I tried the Octoberfest, Raspberry UFO and UFO White. I loved them all
After Harpoonfest we went to the Warren Tavern and had a few more beers. Needless to say, I was a little drunk…oops!
Yesterday morning I slept in for the first time in a long time. Brunch (I slept a little late) scrabbled egg whites, a veggie sausage and whole wheat toast with blueberry jam. I hung around the house all day since it was rainy and I wasn’t feeling so great (too much beer).
In the evening, I went to Wicked Bride’s bachelorette party. On the way there, I stopped at Best Buy to get a memory card so I could take pictures. We started off with dinner a Shabu-Ya . This place was super cute. I started off a we Sam Adams Light that I nursed throughout the two hours that we stayed at dinner. I only ended up drinking about half.

We ordered some edamame for a appetizer.

We also got a scallion pancake and I had a small piece of it.

For my meal I ordered the veggie delight shabu-shabu with spicy brother.

That’s my broth. The way that Shabu-Shabu works is you order a broth, then they put it on the burner and bring it to a boil. Once it gets up to a boil, you throw in the raw veggies and tofu (or meat if that is what you order) and the broth cooks it.

Here is my veggie delight. It can with tofu, corn, spinach, LOT of mushrooms cabbage, broccoli and lettuce. It also came with a side noodles.

Here are my veggies, noodles and tofu cooking.

This was different, it kind of reminded me of fondue. It was fun and tasty. We ended the meal with fried ice cream.

Yup, that’s right FRIED ICE CREAM!!!! This was so good, a ball of vanilla ice cream with a fried crust. It was REALLY good!
Here is the bride with myself (bridesmaid) and Lydia her Main of Honor.

After dinner we headed to The Donkey Show, which was a Disco version of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. It was a very interesting show, we had dance floor tickets, so we got the dance through the whole show. It was really fun, but I paid the price and now have a blister on my food= no run today
. While watching the show, I had a vodka and cranberry juice.

After the show, I headed home and called it an early night. I am turning into an old lady. I can’t stay out all night anymore! When I got home, my sweet tooth was kicking in so I had some chocolate covered peanut butter pretzels.

Then I called it a night. This morning I got up with one thing on my mind…pancakes! I made some oatmeal blueberry pancakes and topped them with a little maple syrup and chopped pecans.

I also had a cup of coffee with half and half and agave nectar.

Look at the present my mom dropped off yesterday!

A giant can of pumpkin!!!!! YES!!!!! Thanks, Mom!
Well, sorry for the lack of pictures from Friday night and Saturday morning
I can’t believe I forgot my memory card at work. Well, at least the situation is under control now, right? I have to wok at my part-time job then, I am going grocery shopping with my friend Lauren. see you all later. Have a great Sunday!
