Perfect Sunday

Hey everyone! I hope your weekend was awesome! Mine went by fast, but honestly, what else is new, right?! Yesterday I had pretty much the perfect Sunday. Sunday is one of my favorite days of the week because I love the relaxed feel to it. But, very rarely do I get to fit in all of my favorite Sunday activities into one day! Yesterday was certainly the exception to that rule.

I was able to sleep in until 9 am with Adam and Oscar, which was glorious. Adam has two Sundays off every 7 weeks so I really love having a lazy Sunday morning with him when I can since that happens so rarely. Once we got up and walked Oscar we decided to head to the gym. Before the gym I snacked on a Kid’s Z-Bar Cripsy.

At the gym I did a killer legs workout and some cardio. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical at level 11 totaling about 2.25 miles. (Side note: 9 days until my next foot x-ray!!! Hopefully I will get cleared to be able to run and Crossfit again soon! I MISS IT!). I followed up the cardio with this legs workout:

  • 3 sets of 12 squats with a 50 pound bar.
  • 3 sets of 12 lunges on each side with 8 pound weights in each hand.
  • 3 sets of 12 hip abductions with 55 pounds.
  • 3 sets of 12 hip adductions with 55 pounds
  • 3 sets of 10 leg extensions with 60 pounds
  • 3 sets of 12 leg curls with 50 pounds
  • 3 sets of 12 leg press with 130 pounds
  • 3 sets of 15 calf press with 130 pounds

Whew! That was killer!!!! My legs are feeling it today and I am pretty sure it will be even worse tomorrow. The second day always is.They were shaking most of yesterday. I love that feeling.  I am so glad to see that my broken foot is healing and is able to handle a fairly heavy squat weight.

After the gym I cleaned the house while chatting with FFF Mom on the phone and sipping a large mug of well-deserved coffee :)

Once the house was clean I showered and got dressed to spend the day with two of my very favorite ladies on earth, FFF Mom and FFF Niece! My girlie is getting big, huh? She is 3 and a half months! Time flies by!

FFF Mom, FFF Niece and I went to Panera for lunch before running some much needed errands. It was a cold, raw and dreary day so Panera hit the spot! Plus it was really close to the places my mom and I wanted to run errands. Win, Win! For lunch I got a half greek salad and my very favorite soup- cheddar broccoli. I was certainly a cheddar broccoli kind of day- but then again as far as I am concerned everyday is a cheddar broccoli soup kind of day! ;)

Panera has an awesome greek salad, I think it is the light dressing that makes it!

After lunch we headed to Costo and the grocery store. I love going to Costco and stalking up when I have the time. I bought a few things that we use A LOT of in the FFF Household:

  • Paper towels
  • Laundry detergent
  • Jet Dry
  • Dishwasher soup
  • Spinach
  • Plain Greek Yogurt
  • Popchips
  • Pretzel Thins
  • Hummus
  • String cheese
  • Lettuce
  • Natural peanut butter

Costco is awesome for the stuff you use a lot of because buying things in bulk is always way cheaper. But, it can be dangerous because you get tempted to buy huge amounts of stuff that you can never use before it expires. I always have to check the dates and think, “Can I honestly use all of this before it expires?”. Most of the time the answer is “NO WAY!” but for the stuff I use a lot of it is 100% worth it. After Costco, we headed to the grocery store so we could both get some shopping done! I love starting off the week with a fridge full of groceries. It makes my life 100 times easier.

Around 6pm I ate dinner while doing some work on a new website I am going to be working with, more info to follow! Once it is launched completely, I will let you guys know all about it :) Oh and don’t worry- FFF isn’t going anywhere. Pinky Promise!  Dinner was that last bit of leftover Pumpkin Chili.

I spent about 4 hours working on the site before reading Real Simple in bed. I went to bed feeling grateful for such a great Sunday were I got to “get it all in”. Even though the day was relaxing, I got so much done!

  • Sleeping in
  • Working out
  • Coffee :)
  • Family time
  • Grocery shopping
  • Website work
  • Relaxing with a magazine

Perfect Sunday!
