In my last post, I said with all the trouble is caused it better be delicious! It was!!!!

It contained:

  • Spring Mix
  • Tomatoes
  • Carrots
  • Cucumbers
  • Peppers
  • Mushrooms
  • Artichoke Hearts
  • Feta
  • Lemon Hummus
  • Hot Salsa
  • Hard Boiled Egg Whites
  • Edamame

No dressing needed!!!! So good! I literally opened my fridge and took out anything I thought would be good in a salad and added it! YUMMO!

After eating, I went out to walk around, I needed to get away from my desk. While wondering through the stores in Downtown Boston, I came across this and squealed with delight!

A co-worker and I got e-mails from BoYo this afternoon  saying that had pumpkin frozen yogurt! We literally ran out of  our building to get there! I forgot my camera, but took a picture of my half eaten one for you guys when we got back. I got a kids size pumpkin with chocolate chips! SO GOOD! We will be going back fir sure!

In Other News:

1. I joined Caitlin and  Bobbi’s Pile On The Miles Challenge and think you should too!!!  Here is the info taken from Bobbi’s blog:

“Soon enough, you’ll be chowing down on scrumptious pumpkin pie, stuffing and other yummy Thanksgiving Day eats. But those delicious goodies may come with some extra pounds. Want to keep away that unwelcome weight? Then join the Pile on the Miles challenge.

Whoever logs the most miles between November 1st and the day after Thanksgiving will be crowned the winner and as a bonus—will most likely keep those unwanted pounds at bay. So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and start piling on those miles!”

From November 1 to Thanksgiving, keep track of how many miles you run or walk. They’ve created a group Google Document so you can post your miles on the spreadsheet.  Be honest!

To ensure everyone has a chance to win, they’ll be selecting three winners this time.

  • The Grand Prize winner will be based on total mileage.
  • To qualify for the General Entry category, all you have to do is pile on at least 10 miles during the month of November!
  • To qualify for the Operation Beautiful entry, you must spread the Operation Beautiful love while out on your runs.  Get creative – carry chalk with you, bring post its, or write it in the sand.  But you’ve got to take a picture and e-mail it to them!

The POTM 2009 Challenge is a great way to stay motivated, participate in the blog world, have fun, and be healthy during the holiday season! If you’d like to participate, e-mail Bobbi at marie.bobbi@gmail.com and she’ll send your the link to the Google Document spreadsheet.  You have until October 31, 2009 to enter!

  • Note 1: Yes, POTM is a runner-specific challenge, but we still love all of you non-runners, too.
  • Note 2:  You don’t need a blog to enter – anyone can!

I am doing it, who is joining me???

2. After reading Caitlin’s Post about trying to get back on track. I have decided there are a few areas I need to get back on track with so I have decided to set a few goals for this upcoming month as well:

  1. Get 8 hours of sleep on week days = in bed at 10:30 up at 6:30.
  2. Make time in the morning to have coffee with Adam, it really starts my day off great, and if I get up at 6:30, I will have time to do that!
  3. Get prepped for the next day at night, I used to be so good at this. Gotta get back on track, it makes my life so much easier.
  4. READ FOR CLASS – I have been a total slacker when it comes to this.
  5. Drink more water, my body been pissed off at me due to my lack of water consumption.
  6. Work on better blog content (suggestions welcomed)
  7. I have some work goals, but I think they will bore you guys, so I am not posting them all here.
  8. LESS DESSERTS….I have been eating far too many sweets and it is making my belly sad. Right now, I am craving them due to hormones, but once that is no longer the case, I got to work on this!

Do you have any goals right now? Do you sometimes have to make yourself get back on track?

I want to stop eating candy, that is my goal for now. October and March/April..i.e, Halloween and Easter and bad times for me when it comes to candy consumption. Trying my hardest to conquer this bad habit. I am a dessert queen as well.

  3. I’m doing Pile On The Miles too! It’s going to be fun :)
