Relaxing Saturday Morning

Hello and Happy Saturday! Since my week was so hectic and I spent over 45 hours at work this week staring at a computer. I took all of last night “off” from anything computer related. My eyes and brain needed the rest.

After work yesterday, I headed to the gym for a shorter run and some Body Pump. Before working out, I had 1/2 of a clif bar. These have been my go-to pre-workout snack as of late, 1/2 a bar really helps me power through!

After my little episode Wednesday, I followed Katy’s advice and and mixed 2/3 water 1/3 G2 into my bottle for during and after my workout. It made a HUGE difference! Thanks, Katy!

My workout was a four mile run (38:00 minutes) followed by Body Pump. I was a sweaty beast and felt amazing by the time I left they gym :)

Dinner last night was a giant salad- and I mean huge. It may or may not have been consumed out of the popcorn bowl from Tuesday night ;) This salad was awesome! It contained:

  • Romaine lettuce
  • tomatoes
  • carrots
  • cucumbers
  • leftover rice
  • a few grilled shrimp
  • balsamic vinegar

I enjoyed it with a MUCH DESERVED glass of Pinot Noir. My favorite wine :)

Immediately following the salad, I had a handful of Trader Joe’s mini peanut butter cups.

I watched a little TV and headed to bed at 11:30 pm :) This morning I woke up and was sore all over from Body Pump- I love that feeling :) I ended up sleeping in until 8:30 which felt amazing! I spent the morning catching up with some girlfriends and responding to the zillion e-mails in my inbox. Does anyone else always have a zillion e-mails in their inbox no matter what? I am totally the kind of person that cannot half-ass a response either, I love responding to e-mails thought, I am weird like that. Especially the blog e-mail, that is always the fullest and I love hearing from you guys, so I could sit here all day and write back to you if someone didn’t tell me to get it together and get moving ;)

While responding to e-mails and relaxing, I have some coffee. It was great to just sit here sip coffee. I can’t remember the last time I had a Saturday where I didn’t have a zillion things to do-seriously!

Breakfast was oatmeal, I was really craving it! I made my normal banana oats and topped them with cinnamon, organic coconut and barney butter. A winning combo!

Well, I have done enough sitting on the couch for one day :) Today’s plans include, making lunch, going for a run and then who knows. I would like to get a few other things on the to-do list taken care of. We shall see though.

Oh wait, as I type I am snacking on this:

Hope you are having a great Saturday! See you guys in a little while.
