Hello! Well my day is finally winding down! I am ready to relax for sure!!! I was really busy at work all day. I was also having one of those days where I was non-stop hungry!
My afternoon/pre-workout snack can in pieces throughout the afternoon. First I had a piece of an energy bar.
About 2 hours later I had a lemon yogurt. When I was a little kid, my mom used to buy me lemon yogurt all the time. I always had to get the kind with a re-sealable top since I could never finish an whole individual container in one sitting. Oh how times have changed
After work I met up with Ashley for a run and Body Pump. While walking to the gym I sipped a medium iced coffee with cream.
Yikes…looks like the trash is overflowing!
Ashley and I got to the gym, changed and hit the pavement. We ended up running 2.71 miles in 27 minutes. It was a tough run for me, it was hot as hell and I felt fatigued and crampy. I had to stop and walk twice, which is rare for me. Luckily, Ashley was fine with doing it. We were so hot we welcomed the cool down! After the run we headed back into the gym for Body Pump. I had not done Body Pump is almost a month! WHO AM I?! Well, I will tell you I felt it! I think the combination between the steamy run beforehand the month off made for a really hard workout. I basically got my ass handed to me. I felt like the first time I tried Body Pump I was sweaty and sore. I felt like jelly all over. When I was done, I was a sweaty mess, just gross!!! I am glad to be back at it
After my workout I was so hungry I thought I was going to gnaw my own arm off! So I had a small granola bar to tie me over.
After my workout I hopped on the train and worked for about an hour at my part-time job, then stopped at my mom and dad’s to pick up Oscar and talk about some wedding details. By the time I got home it was close to 9 pm. I got in the shower and made a quick dinner. I made a giant salad with pretty much a little of everything in my fridge in it. It contained:
- Spring mix
- grape tomatoes
- cucumbers
- carrots
- reduced fat feta
- leftover brown rice and quinoa
- Leftover chicken and grilled veggies from last night
I heated up the chicken and veggies from last night. I liked the hot and cold mixture. I washed it down with a little bit of the Tazo passion tea.So refreshing on a summer day
I ate the whole thing! Now I am sipping a little chamomile tea while blogging. I am trying to get back into my nightly chamomile tea to help me sleep well. I used to have a cup in bed every night and it was so helpful.
Well, to bed I go. I have an early morning tomorrow! See you in the am

When I saw you it looked like you were running fast! That’s an amazing workout!
Ha! Thanks we were going really fast at that point…too fast actually we were running a 7:12 min/mile. I looked down at my Garmin soon after and made sure we slowed it down.
Looks delish!
And yes, it’s wayyyy to humid + hot outside to even consider running or walking. It’s pretty amazing to me because I work right near Lake Quannapowitt and there’s ALWAYS somebody running/walking whatever in 89ºF weather. Crazy babies.
check out those hot pink sneaks in the background…those are nice
As always, I loved working out with you tonight! Back on Track pact in full force now!
Your salad looks amazing!
Oh, totally on board with the chamomile tea! Was just thinking I should grab a mug last night…but then the heat stopped me.
Tea in bed sounds lovely.
Good to know that other people feel like Body Pump schools them every now and then!
