Hello! I hope you week is off to a good start! I am actually feeling super crappy today. I was sitting next to someone at a seminar on Thursday who was coughing, sneezing and blowing her nose. I think I caught her cold. Yesterday I felt fine though. I guess it takes a few takes before the cold takes over.
I started off yesterday with a whole wheat waffle and natural peanut butter sandwich.
And coffee…yup!
I’m not even going to lie, I did NOTHING yesterday! Well, I guess that is not true. I did do some laundry, watch Investigation Discovery and wrote a few blog posts. I needed a day to just hang out and lay low. For lunch I had some leftover Ka-Mo tofu and brown rice from Sunday night’s dinner date.
I working from about 5:30-10:30 last night at the Navy Yard Bistro. It was a busy night! We were slammed, which I love because it keeps me moving and keeps the night flying by. Our AC was not working so well so it was a little warm. The cook made us all some pasta with alfredo sauce and chicken to eat towards the end of the shift. It was delicious!
Yesterday’s outfit:
Dark matchstick jeans (JCrew), White top (H&M), aqua stone necklace (gift from FFF mom).
I got so many compliments on this necklace at work last night! It is perfect to dress up jeans and a plain top. The color is perfect for summer!
I wanted to share with you guys three hair products that I am loving this summer:
- John Frieda Full Repair – When I cut my hair really short in November, I had to straighten it every day. That caused a ton of damage and the tips of my hair where dry and I had a ton of split ends. I am trying to grow my hair out now so I wanted something to repair my split ends. I tried a few products and everything seemed to make my hair greasy. This shampoo and conditioner is awesome my hair looks 100% better and it isn’t greasy or weighted down. I also smells really great too!
- Garnier Wonder Waves- I have naturally wavy hair and in the summer I like to wear it natural and skip the blow dryer. But I really hate when my hair looks frizzy, greasy or stiff. This spray is light and my waves look awesome. They aren’t stiff or greasy at all. I love being able to just wash, spray, scrunch and go!
- Goody Clear Elastics: I am loving how these blend in with my hair. They are perfect for ponytails and buns. I love that they are thin and tiny.

I was just thinking about the hair products I can’t live without this morning. I just ran out of my Jocoi Smoothing Balm and realized I can’t go a day without it or my hair will be a huge frizz ball. Cute necklace! I love how you paired it with a simple jeans and white-T. Hope you’re having a good week girl!

I love Bamboo conditioner, it’s a great smoothing conditioner and is non-toxic. I also like Rusk Str8. I wish I could get my hair to be wavy, but it just doesn’t work on me, so straightening is my best option.
I love the goody’s hair elastics…. my husband hates them as when He cleans he find them everywhere…
